Zak G's 7th post TATDPTIndian, chapter "Talking About Turtles"
I would like to start off by saying that that horse story very thoroughly scared me right to the core. I do not know if it shows the posting time but it is about one in the morning and I am all alone in the house, and that story really got to me. I just wanted to get that out and also say that the author is obviously skilled at writing a sad funny and/or scary story or thriller. On to the main topic, I am very glad to see that Rowdy and Junior have become friends again and it seems like Rowdy respects Junior a little more, I am guessing it has to do with the being apart for so long and the new found (maybe) respect from that basketball game. I liked the story of them as kids going to Turtle lake just to climb the tree and how it very strongly symbolized friendship and trust. Even after everything Junior and Rowdy were able to revert back to the way they were on top (almost to the top) of that tree, best and trusting friends. I am glad that after everything leading up to this the story can have a positively happy ending. The theme in this chapter is definitely friendship and also happiness because even though it was only a simple knock that lead to a day of basketball, it also showed that Junior and Rowdy's friendship is never ending and with it will come happiness.
