I agree with Zak on: how this book is a major relief from
"I know why the Caged Bird Sings" by Maya Angelo. I love how he takes all the problems that he
has in life whether it be his teeth, lisp, head or anything else, and makes it
funny and not that big of a deal. Something that I do not agree with you is that
I think he should keep the chapter names the way they are because the names are
foreshadowing and they are, for the most part, funny. I also thought it was messed up when three thirty
year old men picked on him because of his head problem. Rowdy beet up junior for the same reason why
he helped him when other people were picking on junior; it is because he likes
his friend and he does not want him to feel bad and he does not want him to go
away. I agree it would be upsetting to have your only friend leave. I know how he feels because I had to move away
from my friends before. I am also loving this book. I knew it would be a great
read because a lot of my friends have read this book before and I know now why
they loved it so much. I am also
wondering what will happen in the future when he goes to a new school. I assume
that he might have a hard time being the only Native American there.
